We were greeted by our host upon arrival. He showed us how everything worked and where to find things we might need. The suite is modern, clean, welcoming and very well equipped. Above all of this, it is peaceful and private. There were other people staying there but you would never know it. It truly felt like an upscale version of home away from home in a safe, beautiful and relaxing environment. The private hot tub on the private deck was divine. Book this place, you’ll be happy you did ;) |
We had a wonderful time at this place. The views are unbeatable and the ocean is just steps away. We enjoyed the easy access to biking trails, hiking trails, and sightseeing spots. We took a day trip to Hornby Island and it was amazing. The host is very attentive and caring. He checked in with us regularly to make sure everything was fine. The place is cozy, spotless, and well-equipped. We loved the sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge after a day of adventure. We also rented bikes and kayaks from the host through his website. It was very convenient and hassle-free. We highly recommend this cozy stay and we would love to come back. |
This is a special place, worth every penny. The photos are accurate, but this place is very experiential, which can’t be captured in photos. It is soothing, peaceful, and integrative in the way Japanese Gardens are. The artists use of perspective becomes obvious from the beginning: The driveway is short, but curved and camouflaged by vines, so there is no direct view of buildings from the road nor is there a direct view into living areas of either guests or staff housing. Water and foliage views are focal. The “sound” of quiet made for extraordinary sleep. One night we watched a full moon pop into view over the water at the fire pit/sauna below... The cold-water plunge definitely added to the hot tub experience! |
Private, clean, and well maintained. The Japanese soaker tub was amazing and being able to look up at the stars at night while soaking in the tub was magical! We appreciated the private garden landscaping with wild grasses and plants. One of the highlights of the trip was enjoying the oceanfront wood-fired sauna and watching the sunset change the color of the sky. |
Always a wonderful retreat: We have been coming to Manna House for a few years now and absolutely love it. Mark is a great host and clearly puts a lot of thought into the guest’s comfort and experience. We enjoyed the cedar hot tub/cold plunge tub, as well as the Scandinavian spa and waterfront sitting area, and took the canoe out one afternoon. There’s been a few other additions to the rooms - we really liked having an ice machine available. We always have a very relaxing and enjoyable time at Manna House and look forward to visiting again! |
The glass door opens onto the private patio, garden and deck with hammock, a personal Japanese "Ofuro" cedar soaker/hot tub, cold plunge tub*, fire pit and electric barbeque. Padded lounge chairs with a low metal table are provided to relax next to the fire pit, with an overhead electric space heater that gives a good enough light to read by. A pair of patio chairs and table make eating outdoors, under cover, a must!

"Wonderful place to stay with a sea view and easy access to shoreline and private fire pit. Accommodation has lots of nice touches, especially the outside cedar hot tub, George Foreman grill, and use of the kayak. Shared kitchen was not a problem. Mark was friendly, accommodating and quick to respond. Denman Island seems to be an undiscovered treasure, we often seemed to have the many hiking trails to ourselves and the Eagles" (Melanie F, June '22)
The Shared Kitchen is accessed from the inside back door of the unit into the common area.
For the maximum safety of our guests post Covid; pots, pans, dishes and cutlery, are stored in the bar of each room.
