The Studio

MASSAGE REQUEST FORM
Therapists recommend the infrared sauna before massage therapy because the sauna increases circulation of both the blood and lymphatic flow in the body.  This enables an enhanced facilitation of myofascial releases in the soft tissue of the body during massage therapy.

Erin, a practitioner of Jin Shin Jyutsu Eastern Acupressure© since 1995, brings a deep and integrated understanding of this ancient art of healing and harmonizing. The Healing Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu has become her way of life with a daily self-care practice. It is believed that Jin Shin Jyutsu has roots extending deep into India, China and Japan for thousands of years.

Our Jin Shin Jyutsu session begins with body and pulse reading, offering an opportunity to effectively establish your unique treatment plan. Your harmonizing/healing experience unfolds with an ancient, client-specific, release flow pattern. This 75 - 90 minutes of acupressure will assist with the overall harmonizing of the body, mind and spirit.

Erin also offers, a Hawaiian Lomi Lomi inspired, nourishing oiled massage. This is an integrated massage experience, grounded in sacred elemental teachings. We invite the deepening of one’s connection with body, mind and spirit through this healing art form. The style consists of long flowing movements that combine the use of both hands and forearms. Your system will be soothed by connecting to the breath and deepening overall relaxation. There is a feeling of fluidity in this approach to healing that both embraces the rhythm of the ocean and the flow of a gentle dance. Every treatment includes a minimum of 20 minutes of acupressure to complete the session.
10 Session Healing Intensive
Guests looking for deep and profound support on their journey towards wellness, inner harmony and self knowing may choose to embark on a 10 session Jin Shin Jyutsu healing intensive.

I also had the distinct pleasure of receiving a massage from Erin. It was such a restorative and unique experience; I highly recommend booking one if you have the chance!
Megan W, Eagle View, Aug '23
I really enjoyed the massage. Different from anything I've had before. I was perhaps a littlle skeptical before and a believer after. She puts a lot into it.

I wanted to give special mention to Erin O’Brien, the masterful Jin Shin Jyutsu and Lomi-Lomi practitioner. She lives her medicine, and is in deep connection and reciprocity to the spirit of the land. Her session connected me in a deeper way to the wind, the water that has stayed with me... She gave cues for breath work and guided visualization throughout the session making it a more collaborative experience and a download of deep wisdom... She went above and beyond and gave practices as suggested homework as well. She’s the real deal!

I received two Jin Shin Jyutsu acupressure massages from Erin during my stay that words can’t describe how amazing the process of letting go can be….

Detailed Descriptions
x
Therapeutic Massage
Releases tension, facilitates cleansing, detoxifies tissues, and breaks down adhesions.

Relaxation Massage
Firm yet gentle strokes ease tension, improves circulation. and relaxes the mind.

Raindrop Therapy
Raindrop techniques differ a little from a classical massage (although those will also be incorporated into your session), putting more importance on slower, featherlight nerve strokes. Healing touch, plus the application of various Essential Oils along the spine, drop by drop (hence the name), stimulates the nervous system activity, brings forth structural alignment, helping to strengthen your body's own self-healing abilities.
The back massage part ends with the application of a hot wet towel, which further helps the oils to "sink" in, working their "magic" with fuller benefits to you, not to mention the soothing effect it has on an aching back. After this you’ll get to enjoy the scalp and face massage and the session is completed with some Reflexology and Reiki, leaving you magnificently nurtured and unwound.
It is suggested to drink lots of water before and after the session. You can shower or have a sauna prior to this session.

Aromatherapy Massage
You will get to choose between 7 Aromatherapy blends to enhance your massage therapy session. "Happy Muscles"     "Take it Easy"       "Joy to the World"                     "Lymph Helper"        "Peace"      "Love thy Virus"     "Happy Hormones"
Broad, firm, yet gentle strokes ease tension out of muscles to relax your mind and body.

Indian Head Massage
Relaxing, realigning, recharging and re-balancing the entire body through the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face. This treatment is done seated and fully clothed.
Indian Head Massage or a Seated Massage (approx. 40-45 min) will be followed with a Reflexology session for the latter part of the session (approx. 40-45 min).

Reflexology
Using reflex areas on the feet, cleanses the body and mind, revitalizes energy.

Reiki
Hands-on healing, restores order to the body, balances vital energy.

Flower Essences

Flower essences have long been used to help support the emotional body and have the ability to offer us a sense of balance, inner strength and peace of mind in addition to allowing us to remain open hearted.
By answering questions (doing a little homework :)), we can put together a healing formula that is specific just for You.

Fantastic massage from Gerli the masseuse (highly recommend!). She found all the sore points and loosened them up, I had to book twice.  John D, Eagle View, Apr '25

All massages include herbal oils and essential oils if wanted**

Therapeutic Massage
Looking at the root cause of an issue to treat pain, injury, medical conditions and stiffness to regain more mobility, ease and function of the body. The client may be asked to actively participate in this treatment.

Relaxation Massage
Focusing on regulating the nervous system, increasing circulation and calming and connecting the body, mind and spirit.

Cranio Sacral Therapy
A gentle and subtle treatment assessing and treating restriction in tissues and working to restore our body's natural healing processes by working with the cranio-sacral rhythm and cerebrospinal fluid.  This is both energy work and bodywork.  A deeply relaxing and comforting practice, often done clothed.

Myo-Fascial Massage
Working with the body's connective tissue to ease pain and increase mobility. Most of our nerve endings terminate in the fascia, making it our most sensory organ. The health and mobility of our fascia is hugely important to pain reduction, our sense of ease in our body and proprioception. This treatment is often performed with slow consistent pressure and less oils.

Deep Tissue Massage
Working at deep muscular and fascial levels and using steady, firm pressure and oil to release adhesions and gain mobility. Deep tissue is only recommended for active, vital people.

Blended Treatments

A combination of all or some of these techniques to create a unique session tailored to your needs and preferences.

The Finances
Incremental Fee Structure
When a guest makes a booking, and proceeds to a session, there is an implicit agreement that if a session needs to be longer for the guest's benefit, the guest accepts that the extra time will be charged pro-rata, in 15 minute increments, as detailed below. [When a couple have back-to-back sessions, the start time for the 2nd. session will vary, depending on how long the 1st. one lasts.]

Regular Session: $225.00

Extra Time:
Including 65+ minutes of massage/acupressure and, when appropriate, 15-45 minutes for personalized self-care support and instruction. The amount of time spent on each component of the session is entirely based on the needs of the guest.
